Many surface cleaning companies rely on a one-square-foot-fits-all method, which can be both inefficient and potentially damaging. We believe in using the right chemicals for each surface, ensuring the job is done properly and safely. In most cases, we add a surfactant to the SH solution to improve its performance. The surfactant helps the solution adhere to the surface, especially on vertical or perpendicular surfaces like roofs and siding. This ensures the cleaning solution stays in place longer, breaking down organic growth and stains more effectively. With the surfactant, we can provide a thorough clean that lifts and removes contaminants without compromising the integrity of your property.

• Asphalt Shingles: We use a gentle SH (sodium hypochlorite) solution that’s tailored to address algae and moss without damaging these sensitive, fragile shingles.
• Tile Roofs (Clay/Concrete): With their durability, tile roofs can handle a stronger SH mix, which is perfect for removing stubborn algae and moss.
• Wood Shake: Because wood shake is delicate, we apply a much weaker SH solution, ensuring no discoloration or damage to the wood.
• Metal Roofs: Metal roofs are durable and can withstand a moderate to strong SH concentration to effectively remove mold, algae, and mildew. However if left on the roof for too long, it can cause damage to the metal surface or any coatings. We thoroughly rinse. We look at alternatives to SH for exposed metals.
• Slate Roofs: For slate, we use a moderate SH solution that’s effective but gentle enough to avoid discoloration or degradation.
• Synthetic/Composite Shingles: These roofs are durable but sensitive, so we apply a moderate SH solution that treats algae growth without causing damage.
• Vinyl Siding: Vinyl siding is resilient, and we use an appropriate SH solution that effectively removes dirt, mildew, and algae while being gentle enough to avoid any damage or discoloration.
• Wood Siding: Wood siding is more delicate and requires a lower concentration of SH to safely clean it without causing any damage or weakening the wood fibers.
• Brick: Brick surfaces are porous, so we use a moderate SH solution to clean without causing damage, while still effectively removing stains, algae, and mildew. We also take care to protect any mortar joints from being overly exposed.
• Stucco: For stucco, we use a moderate SH solution that’s strong enough to clean effectively without compromising the surface. Stucco is porous and can absorb excess chemical, so we make sure the concentration is carefully balanced to avoid potential cracking, discoloration, or damage to the material while still addressing stains, mold, and mildew.
